Basil Avocado Tahini Sauce

When trying to eat clean or raw, my go-to meal is usually a veggie packed salad, however, it can be tough to find a good, clean salad dressing to accompany it. I created this sauce that doubles as a salad dressing and it’s 100% clean. Other brands of salad dressing that I love both the ingredients and the taste of are Primal Kitchen and Tessemae’s (most of them are Paleo and/or Whole30!)

 

Ingredients

5 tbsp olive oil

1/2 avocado

1 tbsp tahini

2 tsp apple cider vinegar

pepper & himalayan pink sea salt to taste

2 tsp water

4 large fresh basil leaves

Directions

  • Combine all ingredients in a blender and blend until smooth
  • I have not tested this in a food processor because I do not currently own one, but I’m sure it would work just as well if not better in there as well.

Suggestions

  • Put it on top of everything and anything! Salad, meat, tacos, bowls, etc.
  • If you store it in an airtight container in the refrigerator, it should stay for up for 4 days
